I first discovered printmaking twenty years ago and quickly found that I particularly enjoyed etching. Many things interest me and through the process of first drawing, then translating the image using etching and aquatint onto the (usually steel) plate, I feel I come to understand the shape, textures and character of the originally subject. Currently I have been rediscovering the pleasures of drawing.
